Cadle family
Isabella's daughter Patricia married Robert McDowell Roy
Carole Roy wrote to her sister Pat: The tall boy standing on the right must be our great uncle Fred, the girl with the shawl, next to him must be great aunt Caroline, and the two girls seated, must be Anne (12) and Emma (10), while the boy on the rug has to be George Switzer (c.8). According to mother, Anna and Cornelius Cadle had 16 children, so 6 must have been
miscarriages.

Daughters of Bert and Mary Royes
Daughters of Bert and Mary Royes
There is some debate about who is who. The one on the right with the round face is most like Mary. If this is the case, then the girls are Barbara Maud (who died at 16) in the rear, then Jean, Ruth and Mary from left to right. The photo would have been taken when Barbara was about 14 (let's say 1919) and the others are aged 7, 5 and 10 respectively??

Death of Edward Hougham Royes
Death of Edward Hougham Royes
The text reads (verbatim):
ROYES. - On the 23rd instant, at the residence of her son-in-law, Denham Street, Rockhampton, Edward Hugham Royes, only brother of the Hon. Charles John Royes, Windsor Castle, Jamaica and uncle of Dr Royes Bell, London, and father of Mrs. Alexander Henry, of Rockhampton. Aged 72 years. - Sydney and home papers please copy.
[NOTES:
1. Edward was not the only brother of Charles John Royes (who had in fact died the year before, but the Australian family seem to be unaware of that) but he may have been the only surviving brother. In which case he was the last surviving son of Solomon and Mary Royes.
2. "Mr. Alexander Henry" is a misprint - elsewhere it is Mrs. Alex... Which daughter married Alexander Henry? probably Eleanor?]
