Featured History Maurie Roy's mother was Agnes Logan, from Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. This featured history describes that family and something of its origins. Agnes's father, Sam Logan, was illegitimate though his father is listed as a Robert Logan. He was born in Loughconnolly, not far from Larne. Shortly before his marriage he bought a large expensive family Bible - perhaps a statement over against his origins and a determination to have a "normal" family.
