The Family TreeJoe Weatherburn was one of a party who were the first to "go up and over" Queensland's highest mountain, Mt Bartle Frere, in 1919. Another member of the party, Dave Imrie, tells the story to The Tableland Examiner in 1939. Read Romance of Bartle Frere.

blank photoPhotos?? Deb and Libby Sara are particularly keen to obtain more information on Jane Elliott Hougham Royes, their maternal grandmother. She died when their mother, Desme Harvey Sara, was a baby, and Desme has not even seen a photo of her and had no contact at all with the Royes clan. Their dearest wish is to track down a photo of Jane before Mum dies. One of Jane's brothers died as recently as 1983 and they are hopeful that there may be some photographs.
