||Dixie Ciutler comments: I find a Sophia Dix born 07/10/1821 who is d.o. John Hall Dix (a Thames River pilot) and his wife Isabella. Sophia lands on this planet at East India Dock Road, Poplar (ref is Docklands Ancestors on FindMyPast site). In 1841, she is likely Sophia Dix, unmarried governess, in home of Wm. Bradford, Col., Indian Army.|
What we see so far suggests that there must have been a relationship between John East Dix and John Hall Dix. Also between that lot of Dix’s and the Machin family. It’s enough to make my head spin!! No way yet to tell if they all relate to my Dix line somehow.
