Search census results

A valuable resource for information is the census. These generally contain information like names, relationships, age, address, occupation, birthplace.

1. Go to Other Search Criteria on the Search Person page and choose "Census".
2. Enter the country whose census you are wanting to search.
3. If you are not sure what year a census took place you can nominate a year and select the option "=/- 5 years".

IMPORTANT TIP: When you have finished searching any of the Other Search Criteria, go yo the top of the Search form and select "Reset". Otherwise, you may subsequently search for a person you know is in the data but get a message "no results found" - because your census search is still part of your search criteria. You need to be especially alert to this where you have used the Other Search Criteria because they are initially hidden from your view.
