Overviews

This project started out with Maurie Roy and May Royes, married in 1940.

Among their various ancestors are, for the Roy side, Hugh Clements and Agnes Snoddy (married presumably about 1827), and for the Royes side, Solomon Hougham (wife's name unknown, married presumably about 1498).

I chose those particular ancestors because within the family tree is another Clements-Hougham link. Gavin Welman married Elizabeth Davis, who are Hougham and Clements descendants. This chart shows the dual link from the Northern Irish Clements-Girvan-Davis line and the Kent and London Royes-Hougham line.
